Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral for chiropractic care or the CoreFit Program?
No, you do no. None of our services require a referral from another provider.
Do you accept insurance?
No, we are a cash based practice. Not billing insurance allows us to provide more comprehensive and individualized treatment plans in order to best treat our patients. It also allows us to keep our costs low and focus more on our patients instead of taking time away from care to bill insurance. Instead if you are covered by insurance we are happy to provide a superbill.
Do you accept FSA and HSA?
Yes, We accept all HSA and most FSA accounts. We will provide a superbill for all patients who have FSAs.
Can I use my HSA and FSA for Massages?
Yes, you are able to use your HSA and most FSA accounts for massage sessions. We will provide superbills for patients who have FSA accounts and need proof of their receipt.
What is a Superbill?
A Superbill is a detailed receipt that can be submitted to insurance companies. The superbill contains treatment codes and all the necessary information insurance companies need in order to refund you your money back that is covered under your insurance policy.
Can I bring my child or children with me to my chiropractic or CoreFit appointment?
Absolutely! Our office is child friendly. We have a kids play room stocked with books and toys for the older children, a baby bassinet and swing for the newborns and if we have a staff member available we love to hold newborns while you workout or get adjusted.
What is a labor prep massage?
A labor prep massage is a 90 minute massage that uses acupressure points to help induce labor. This massage can be safely performed on women who are 37 weeks or more and ready for their baby to arrive. The combination of acupressure point therapy along with relaxation techniques can cause labor to occur within 24-48 hours after the massage.
Do you have the belly drop away massage table?
Yes! The table has a removable belly cut-away and a removable breast pillow that allows our pregnant, breastfeeding and bigger chested patients the chance to comfortable lie on their stomach while they are being massaged.
What is the Webster Technique?
The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic technique used on pregnant women to reduce interference to the nervous system and facilitate neuro-biomechanical balance to the pelvis and surrounding structures. This adjustment not only helps to reduce the pain associated with pregnancy, but will also help create more space in the pelvis to allow the baby to get into the optimal position for birth. The Webster Technique has been researched by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is shown to help decrease labor by up to 5 hours and create a smoother delivery.
I am not sure I have diastasis, how do I know if I need the Corefit program?
If you have core weakness, leaking with coughing, laughing, running or jumping, coning of the abdomen when you sit up or perform a plank, anterior pelvic tilt (where your low back is arched back), an umbilical hernia, a “mom pooch” that won't go away with diet and exercise, then you should schedule a consult with us to determine if you have diastasis recti separation and if so how severe the separation is.
I have a breech baby, can chiropractic care help?
Yes! The combination of the Webster Technique and Spinning Babies Techniques can help. The Webster Technique helps create the optimal amount of space for the baby to turn naturally. The Webster Technique focuses on aligning the pelvis, hips, and ribs to give the baby the most amount of space in the uterus. Spinning Babies Techniques are a series of several different positions that use gravity to help get baby to turn.
Are newborn adjustments safe?
Yes, newborn adjustments are very different from adult adjustments. There are no “cracks or pops” in newborn adjustments and instead light pressures (the same pressure you would use to check the ripeness of a tomato) are used to induce gentle movement into different areas of the baby’s spine. We also do gentle massage therapy techniques in order to help lengthen and relax hypertonic muscles.
